On 1 July 1970 the Stichting was established under the name of Stichting Pensioenfonds Bührmann-Tetterode.

On 4 March 1997 the Stichting Pensioenfonds KNP BT was established and acquired/took over the rights and obligations from the following foundations:

•  Stichting Pensioenfonds Bührmann-Tetterode;
•  Stichting Pensioenfonds KNP LEYKAM Netherlands BV;
•  Stichting Toeslagfonds KNP LEYKAM Netherlands BV en
•  Stichting Pensioenfonds K.N.P.

On 25 September 1998 the name of the Stichting changed into Stichting Pensioenfonds Buhrmann. The Stichting again changed its name on 27 July 2007 into Stichting Pensioenfonds Corporate Express.  On18 Augustus 2011 is the name of The Stichting changed to: Stichting Pensioenfonds Staples.
