If you start living together, get married or enter into a registered partnership.
Marriage and registered partnership are treated in the same way for the pension scheme. You should also note carefully whether your partner is entitled to partner's pension if you die. If you consider that the partner's pension that is arranged is not sufficient, you should make additional arrangements.
Please note: if you cohabit without being married, your partner is not automatically entitled to partner's pension on your death. In order for your partner to be entitled to partner’s pension, you have to meet certain conditions. For instance, you need to have concluded a cohabitation agreement passed by a civil-law notary. More information is on this subject is available at Partnership.
