In August, the pension fund informed you about the data breach at Blue Sky Group, our pension administration organisation. We are very sorry that this has happened.

The data that could have been leaked were analysed in collaboration with a specialised research agency. In this letter we are informing you about the outcome of this investigation and the measures taken.

Outcome of the investigation

  The investigation shows that it is unlikely that any of your personal data have been leaked.
  
   
• Are you receiving a pension?
  
  We can confirm that personal data about you have been leaked. This includes name, date of birth, policy and employee number and pension value.

Measures

After the data breach, Blue Sky Group immediately initiated a number of actions to prevent a recurrence. Enhanced supervision has also been introduced for activities relating to the implementation of your pension. The supervisors involved have been informed and a report has been made to the police.

Your digital security is very important to us. We find it important that you can trust that your (personal) data are in good hands with us and with Blue Sky Group. All processes are therefore being reviewed and we will examine where improvements can be made and how risks can be reduced where possible. With these measures, we are doing everything we can to prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future.

Stay alert

Based on our investigation of the data breach, we believe that the risk of, for example, identity fraud or other financial crimes is limited. Nevertheless, it is always good to remain alert to possible fraud with your data and information you receive from us. Malicious persons could impersonate Blue Sky Group or the pension fund and ask you for certain information. Blue Sky Group or your pension fund never asks for passwords or changes by e-mail or telephone (including transferring money).
