The pension fund’s financial position is sufficient to grant a partial supplement. The pensions of all members will be raised by 1.27%.
Statutory rules have to be taken into account when allocating a supplement. The pension fund many only allocate a full supplement if its policy funding ratio stands at 120.7%. The policy funding ratio was 117.5% at the end of November, which is high enough to allocate a partial supplement. The benchmark for granting supplements is the relative increase in the (derived) price index over the period October 2018 - October 2019. This increase is 1.73%. The board has decided to increase the pensions by 1.27% with effect from 1 January 2020 (73.8% * 1.73%).
The final decisions on supplements are always taken by the board. You can found further details of the supplements policy here.
